PROJECT OVERVIEW

The Gender and Sexuality Resource Centre (GSRC) is a dedicated space at Carleton University supporting students of all gender identities and sexual orientations. They strive to offer an inclusive, intersectional environment where everyone feels valued and respected. At the time the current branding no longer captures the dynamic, vibrant, and intersectional nature of their work. As such, they are seeking a comprehensive rebranding to better reflect their mission, vision, and values.

OBJECTIVES

Modernization

Update the GSRC's visual identity to resonate with current and prospective students, reflecting a modern and progressive image that appeals to a diverse audience.

Enhance Emotional Connection

Design elements that foster a stronger emotional connection with the GSRC's audience, making them feel welcomed, safe, and understood.

Reflect Core Values

Create design elements that align with the GSRC's core values of inclusivity, empowerment, support, and education.

Inclusivity + Intersectionality

Develop a visual identity that highlights the diverse and layered identities within the GSRC community and the intersectional approach taken in the centre's programming and services.

Consistency Across Materials

Ensure that the new brand is consistently applied across all communication and marketing materials, including print, digital, and in-person interactions.
